Biography

I grew up in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.  While in law school, I clerked for a small firm in their labor and employment law department.

After being admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1989, I did work in the fields of toxic tort litigation and labor law.  I then worked for eight years for the law firm that held the legal services contract to represent Philadelphia Police Officers.  There, I concentrated in Domestic Relations cases, including Divorce, Protection from Abuse, Child Custody and Support.   I also represented members of the Fraternal Order of Police in disciplinary matters before the Internal Affairs Division.

Since joining the Law Offices of Brian E. Quinn in 2003, I continued to specialize in Family Law matters in Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks and Montgomery Counties.  I also handle Social Security disability claims.

My approach to Family Law cases is to first negotiate with the other party (or their counsel).  I find that working together to reach an agreement, particularly in custody and divorce cases, is often the best solution.  It also saves a client in attorney fees. However, if the other party is unwilling to negotiate, I am always prepared to fight in Court to obtain the best result.

In child and spousal support cases, I work hard to obtain the maximum level of support for parties seeking support, and work equally as hard to prevent defendants in support cases from having unreasonable or exorbitant orders entered against them.

I can handle your divorce if it is a simple no-fault or consent divorce, or a complex divorce matter involving property division and alimony.  While I have negotiated very favorable settlements for numerous clients, I will also fight in Court for what you are entitled to.  Having practiced Family Law for nearly 25 years, I am familiar with the Judges and Masters who hear domestic relations matters and know what arguments they find persuasive.

In my Social security practice, both individuals who were gainfully employed until they recently became disabled due to a physical or mental health problem, and individuals with no prior work history and minimal additional household income who are seeking Social Security Supplemental Security Income benefits.  In the majority of cases. I am able to obtain Favorable decisions.

In my cases, whether family law or social security, I meet with my clients personally.  I will evaluate and assess your matter, and discuss with your best options.  My experience will help you to get your best result.  Let me work for you!
